Synopsis

Heroes Live Among Us!Every day local fire, police, and EMS heroes place themselves in harms way for our saftey. We should thank them! Now you can!Be the first in your area to organize and host Honoring Our Heroes, a 15 minute award ceremony that says, “Thank You” to your local fire, police, and EMS heroes. Then rev up your fire engine for the dramatic presentation of The Adventures of Uncle Rocky, Fireman, a play in three acts with a runtime of 40 minutes requiring 13 actors and an audience of children. Participate with Officer Jack, Uncle Rocky, and EMT Morales as they put out fires, rescue people, and stop crime. Be ready to scream like a siren, honk like a fire truck, and shout “Glad to do it!” just like Uncle Rocky. The Adventures of Uncle Rocky, Fireman is fun by itself, but combine it with Honoring Our Heroes and you have an enjoyable, worthwhile 1 hour event. Add a fire truck, police car, ambulance, and safety handouts and parents will want to their children to attend. Ask a Dalmatian owner to bring their dog for pictures and the event becomes truly memorable.Complete instructions, planing sheets, and sample press release allow any motivatd group or individual to plan and produce a professional award ceremony. The set designs and list of costumes/props that accompany the script make organizing and presenting the play a cinch. These two events, individually or in combination, are wonderful projects for a student club, school class, homeschool group, fraternal organization, 4-H club, scout troop, senior center, or Awana club. Makes a great service project for scouts. The Adventures of Uncle Rocky, Fireman, is a stage adaptation of James Burd Brewster’s successful Uncle Rocky, Fireman series of children’s picture books, available from Amazon.com or Uncle Rocky’s website: www.GladToDoIt.net
