Jimmy Draper has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ for 65 years. He is a graduate of Baylor University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the recipient six honorary doctoral degrees. He has preached in over 35 countries around the world in crusades and conferences. He organized and led the Kenyan Coast Crusade in 1990 with 536 volunteers from 16 states and 81 churches. Over 60,000 professions of faith were made during that crusade. He has authored 28 books. He served 35 years as a pastor and 15 Years as President of LifeWay Christian Resources. He was president of the Southern Baptist Convention for two years from 1982-84. He is now retired and remains active preaching and leading conferences and mentoring younger pastors. He and his wife Carol Ann have been married for 59 years and have three children, eight grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
