Synopsis

A posed body. An IRA six-pack. Framed for murder.

Seamus McCree comes home to a corpse in his own basement.

The victim is staged for the police to find. He’s strapped to a chair, shot through both elbows, both knees, and both ankles: the IRA's old punishment for informers. Seamus can't explain it. The police think they can. His name sits on the dead man's company account, a signature he swears isn't his.

Clearing himself means doing the one thing he does best—making numbers confess.

The trail runs from Ohio to South Boston. Back to the old neighborhood. Smuggled guns. Mob cash. And the truth about how his father died.

The deeper Seamus digs, the more bodies drop—and still, the evidence circles back to him.

Then the danger stops being his alone. It closes on his son and the woman he loves.

Seamus goes to ground and hunts the hunter, racing to unmask his enemy before someone he loves ends up posed for the next cop to find.

Can Seamus keep his freedom without burying his family?

Bad Policy is the twisty second Seamus McCree financial thriller—a complete story that deepens a series of eight novels and two novellas.

More long-buried secrets. More financial crimes. The same stubborn, decent family man who refuses to look away—except this time the secret is his own.
