The OSS existed for only three years and three months, but it formed the basis for the evolution of the modern Central Intelligence Agency.

The Simple Sabotage Field Manual was distributed to Allies in World War II as a guide for citizens to help hamper the enemy’s war efforts. It gave rebels ideas on ways to weaken the enemy by reducing and hampering work efforts.
