Deindustrialization and its relation to globalization is a very difficult and complicated phenomenon. Most Americans struggle to understand these broad and far reaching developments. Most people would attribute deindustrialization to some form of greed, unless they themselves have benefited from the phenomenon. One of the purposes of this study is to analyze who benefits and who loses from deindustrialization and globalization. The other purposes of this study is to determine who and what has caused deindustrialization and what America must do to reverse it. Vanzetti Vandal has researched and studied the policies, institutions, and individuals that have championed globalization and caused deindustrialization. Politicians and their policies, international financiers, multinational corporations, unions, and environmental regulations are all closely examined. Is globalization and deindustrialization beneficial to the American people or are they beneficial to global elites? This study has been conducted free of any political correctness.
