Jerry Mack, Sr., a former athlete, grew up in extreme poverty in South Memphis within a single-parent home. Although Jerry, Sr. was faced with many difficult challenges, his athletic abilities were the tools that he utilized to improve his status when he attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. While attending there, he earned two degrees: a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He is the father of Jerry Mack, Jr., for which his recent novel was inspired by, and the father of Kelli Mack. He and his wife, Ida Mack currently reside in Nesbit, Mississippi.
