The biggest challenge we may face in life is the responsibility of our own free will. Declan and Destiny have been friends since childhood, but as high school graduation nears, Destiny's life is threatened and they are forced to confront the differences between their worldviews. Declan will do whatever is necessary to protect her; but Destiny is unwilling to compromise her values—no matter the cost. When Declan takes matters into his own hands and goes against her wishes, he stands to lose the girl of his dreams; and Destiny's resentment is so deep that she may miss the chance to show her best friend the way to salvation. Perspective is an exciting story of friendship, danger, faith, and forgiveness.

Amanda studied Biblical Studies at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI were she expanded her knowledge of how God has chosen to work in the world and of how unbelievably expansive His love is. She then studied creative writing at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where she worked in the Writing Center, edited for the Daily Nebraskan, and took all the writing and reading classes they had to offer before moving on when they tried to peer pressure her into paying for the pleasure of taking excessive math and science classes. She now owns and operates Synecdoche Publishing, LLC and continues to write, because if she were to stop, her brain might explode. She has been published by various publishers, including the University of Nebraska Press in their book Voices of Nebraska: Diverse Landscapes, Diverse Peoples, but has started to mostly focus on writing and editing for her own company. This book, Perspective: A Dark Tale of Hope, has been previously published by two other publishers but Amanda eventually re-gained the rights to it so that she could publish this edition through her own company. She wishes everyone who reads her books, good fortune, and everyone who doesn’t, slightly-less-but-still-good fortune. Follow her on Instagram: @mandy_jh7 Visit her Facebook page: @amandahovseth
