Are You My Mother? ASL Curriculum is a themed American Sign Language instruction teacher's guide based on the classic children's book Are You My Mother?. It is for children in grades Kindergarten to 2nd grade. This curriculum includes 20 specific lessons focusing on the following ASL Concepts: Pronouns, Yes/No Face, Head Nod/Head Shake, Listing Technique, and Role-Shifting. Jessica Parker, founder of ASL Concepts, has 20+ years of ASL teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Dallas Baptist University and is working on her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. She teaches ASL in Anchorage, Alaska and has first-hand exposure within the Deaf community as a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult). With a passion for teaching and writing ASL curriculum, Jessica aims to develop successful ASL programs throughout the nation.
