During its eleven-year run, The Archdruid Report was one of the most controversial and widely cited blogs on the future of industrial society. This fourth volume of the collected essays from The Archdruid Report covers the year 2010. The essays in this volume examine the disastrous choices of the early 1980s, when the Reagan-Thatcher counterrevolution scrapped the promising steps toward sustainability taken in the previous decade and set the industrial world on its current trajectory toward disaster. In the process, they begin revisiting the appropriate technology movement of the 1970s -- a movement that still offers some of the best options available for building an ecologically sane future.
