Synopsis

In celebration of the ninth year of Spoon Knife, the theme for Spoon Knife 9 is Numbers – stories in which numbers or counting or our relationship to numbers matter in some way. The ninth annual Spoon Knife anthology has been mathematically formulated to satisfy your craving for weird fiction, poetry, and memoir, featuring stories from 34 human writers.

À propos des auteurs

J.S. Allen, Ph.D., is a neurodivergent author in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His debut novel A Bad Place Best Forgotten is an adventure story set in a rich fantasy world. Interconnected short stories set in the same world have appeared in past volumes of the Spoon Knife Anthology. By day, Dr. Allen works as a data scientist for non-profit organizations.

Programmed to be a mid twentieth century housewife with a second wave feminist veneer, B. Martin Allen gleefully disappoints. Since the 1980's, in venues ranging from indie weeklies to the Huffington Post, Martin has been writing highly personal stories of disability, poverty, feminism, queer culture, and abuse. Banned adjectives describing Martin include: autistic, chronically ill, intersex, transgender, and queer.
