Photographs of the twenty-six test cooks, ages 4-16, from ten U.S. states and Germany who tried and approved every recipe in the Alphabet Kitchen are featured with the recipe they were assigned to test and provide their review.

Annette Bridges and her husband John are Texas cattle ranchers. She has a monthly column in North Texas Farm & Ranch magazine titled, "When a city girl goes country." And she's the founder of Ranch House Press & Gifts.She's written books and created journals, coloring and cookbooks especially tailored for women, children and dachshund and cat lovers. She loves to write, doodle, paint and take photos of her animal friends. She uses her art and photography to create all kinds of products you'll find in her shop.Annette is a former public school and homeschool educator. Cooking with her kindergarten students as part of her language arts lesson plans inspired the creation of Alphabet Kitchen Cookbook, A to Z Recipes for Kid Cooks.You can learn more about Annette and read all of her magazine columns on her website at annettebridges.com. Lesley Vernon is an art therapist and licensed mental health counselor who works alongside kids, teens and adults in the greater Boston area. She has a background in Fine Arts and has illustrated several children's coloring books and a number of other book designs with Annette Bridges. In her free time, Lesley enjoys drawing in pen & ink, painting with watercolors and pursues other fiber arts including knitting, sewing and felting wool. Lesley, along with her husband and two tween sons, lives in southeastern Massachusetts. She loves hiking in the woods of New England, skiing in the mountains, baking and cooking, walking her dog and raising a flock of backyard chickens.

Janie Owen-Bugh is a graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas. She is a passionate graphic designer, color enthusiast, self-publishing champion, and author of Everything You Never Wanted to Know About Color: A Guide to Color-Confidence in Your Brand & More. Janie has built a reputation for herself through her exceptional attention to detail, innovative ideas, technical prowess, and problem-solving ability. Throughout her extensive career, she has designed for a variety of industries, as well as, marketing firms and ad agencies. Janie took on the fun challenge of turning the original 2015 black-and-white Lady and Bella's Alphabet Kitchen Cookbook: A to Z Recipes for Kid Cooks into a bright, colorful edition. She revamped the recipe layouts, adding color photos of the test cooks right on their recipe pages instead of tucking them away at the back. She also brought Lesley's original black-and-white illustrations from the story section, Totally Delicious, Totally Friends: Lady and Bella's Secret Recipe, to life with color, making this edition more vibrant and engaging than ever! Janie resides in a suburb of Dallas, TX and likes spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, traveling, painting, and sewing.
