Of the poet Keith Althaus, we like to say he's a realist who doesn't shy from abstraction and a regionalist with an eye for the universal. As John Skoyles writes, his " moral center, perfect ear and ability to summon the infinite from the everyday are in full display here in poems that show the range and depth of his career. His New & Selected Poems is a major literary event."
