About the Authors Rev. David Baer is an ordained pastor with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. During his years as a pastor, he was troubled by the trend of young Christians leaving the church in their college years. His research led him to discover that the new generation of Christian parents were unequipped to disciple their children properly. In 2001, he left pastoring a church to start FamiliesAlive, an organization dedicated to helping parents raise children who know, love, and serve the Lord. He has two children and ten grandchildren and his heart is that all of them would have a deep relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Rebecca Shultz is passionate about Christian education. She has served as an elementary educator, Children's Ministry teacher, VBS coordinator, and the Curriculum Developer for FamiliesAlive. She is the mom of six crazy, wonderful children ranging in age from 23 to 11.
