BEN PETERSON is the founder and CEO of Engage Your Destiny, a nonprofit ministry aiming to combat veteran suicide by equipping active military, veterans, and their families with the spiritual tools to face any battle.Ben is an Army combat veteran with 8 years of service-including a deployment in Iraq. He lost seven of his brothers in combat, experienced the fallout of suicide bombers at a local school, daily mortar attacks, and held the position of a chaplain's assistant to perform the duties of a personal security detail for the chaplain. Ben holds a B.S. in Worship with a Biblical Studies minor from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN.In 2020, he created the Heroes Honor Festival, which took place at the Daytona International Speedway with Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Craig Morgan, Ron Desantis, and Oliver North, hosting over 35,000 attendees and leading 1,200 veterans into healing programs. Ben has secured sponsorships and partnerships with brands including Toyota, Humana, Harley-Davidson, Fox Nation, Polaris, MN Vikings, Sleep Number, and Children's Hospitals. Ben, his wife Rachel, son Beninah, and white lab Bear live in Spring Hill, Tennessee; Engage Your Destiny is his first book.
