Earlier volumes include Marvel Comics in the 1960s and 1970s. The author has also had numerous short stories appear in various collections and magazines over a decades long career, including novels: A Well Ordered Universe, Strange Company and Sometimes a Warm Rain Falls; and anthologies: The Way the Future Was and The Portable Pierre V. Comtois. In non-fiction, Comtois has published Our Lives, Our Fortunes, Our Sacred Honor and has had articles appear in such magazines as World War II, America's Civil War, Wild West, and Military History.
