David H. Hendrickson's short fiction has appeared in Best American Mystery Stories 2018, Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, Heart's Kiss, Pulphouse, and numerous anthologies, including many issues of Fiction River. He is a multi-finalist for the Derringer Award, and his story "Death in the Serengeti" was honored with the 2018 Derringer Award for Best Long Story. He has published two short story collections, two nonfiction books, and seven novels, including Offside and Cracking the Ice, which have been adopted for high school student required reading.
