He is a retired Railway Civil Engineer born on 29 May1937. The author has been an avid blood donor since 1973. He has been organizing BD camps every year on 1st Jan since 1990 to celebrate New Year and has so far collected over 900 units for the needy. He is keen and has decided to donate one kidney, preferably to a young woman having siblings with the condition that the recipient and donor should not know each other. His blood group is O+.

His wife, a cancer survivor, is an educationist. They have travelled to many countries.

He is a Rotarian, fond of Urdu poetry and sings in Urdu, Hindi and Bengali and knows seven languages. He is a bibliophile and reads and writes (non-fiction).

The entire profit proceeds of this book (if any) shall be donated to handicapped, palsy children and poor widows, for which CA of his rotary will provide free services.
