Synopsis

The latest poetry collection from author and sculptor Guinotte Wise, full of joy and sadness and wry, side-eyed affection for our lost world.
The title is about a colt my wife, Freddie, got me some thirty years ago. He passed away as this book was being finished. His name is Harley and we loved him. The next to the last poem is about the day he died. Then a week later, a very dear friend died, too young, and the book is dedicated to him. Tim read many of the poems in this collection and he liked them--I know this, because he always told me the truth. He knew Harley and Freddie for years, acquired some companions for the Ghost Colt when his running mates went on to their own rewards. Tim is now a true legend. I’d say rest in peace, but he may have other ideas on his final exploration.
