Synopsis

It’s 1978, college is done and Stephen Kylemore is on track for the next phase of an ordered life: a job, a wife, hopefully a dog. But he believes adventure must still be possible and sees one chance to wander like the heroes in the novels he loves.

William Michael Ried was born on Long Island, graduated from the University of Michigan and Georgetown University Law Center and has practiced law in New York City for thirty-six years, almost as long as he spent writing this book. He lives with his wife in Manhattan. Five Ferries is his first novel.
