Synopsis

This new AAeB two-for-one book series presents two “golden” sci-fi novels for less than the cost of a neutralizer or sonic screwdriver. The theme of this volume is planets. Here you’ll find Murray Leinster’s The Mad Planet, the story of earth becoming almost inhabitable due to fissures that pour out steady streams of foul gas. Also here’s Harry Harrison’s Planet of the Damned, the story of a man with a heightened sense of empathy that allows him to win an annual physical and mental competition on Anvhar, but is sent to the hellish planet of Dis where he must use his talent to help avert a global disaster. If you haven’t read these two classics, you should. If you have, they’re worth reading again.
