Synopsis

Sachi Takahashi's saga continues.

She has survived multiple assassination attempts, pirate attacks, shipwreck, being stranded on an island of horrors, attacks by said horrors and a duel with a pirate captain wearing impregnatable armor and wielding an enchanted sword.

Now she finds herself caught in a magical Bond with Sahla al Qasim, a Jann, daughter of a human woman and a Jinni father. Sahla needs the Bond to avoid a dreadful fate, but the Bond makes her a slave to Sachi. Sachi hates slavery with near volcanic fury.

But she cannot bear to break the Bond, condemning the beautiful Sahla to a horrible death.

Escaping the island, she must deal with her tempestuous feelings about Sahla while following a course to a pirate port, where another assassination attempt will leave her holding a mortally wounded Sahla.

Sachi will finally have to confront her true feelings about the young woman.

And the immediate future will hold yet another challenge for Sachi's battered emotions.
