Synopsis

Studying at the fabled city of Shamballa, Akil, an African prince, receives word of his father's death. While on his journey home to honor the late king and pledge fealty to his brother the new King, Akil is kidnapped and sold into slavery, eventually arriving to a plantation in the Carolinas. Akil plans his escape, with the help of a mystical were-hyena from his homeland and the Legendary Captain Tam, aka The Pirate Queen, only to find that his adventure has just begun.

R.C. Thompson has been a teacher, professional actor, writer, and producer of radio plays and has worked for AT&T for 34 years. He currently resides in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County, where he is currently working on the sequel to The Pirate Queen.
