Synopsis
Desiree Lynn Young was ambitious, a bright light for all to see, until the death of her father
when she was 17 devastated her—turning her toward a life of despair and destruction. First, she
dealt drugs. Then she began using them. Desiree was homeless, destitute, and on the edge when
she was arrested, convicted, and imprisoned. She’d lost herself and her children. Her life was
over.
But it was actually just beginning. Behind bars, she reintroduced Desiree to Desiree and spoke
life to herself. If I can change how I think, she concluded, I can change how I behave.
She did—and the transformation has been amazing! She went on to find her soulmate. She was
