The essays collected here are united by a common concern: how the historical links between Spain and the Americas remain active in the present and continue to shape political imaginaries, cultural production, public discourse, and technological environments. Rather than treating those ties as a closed archive of the past, the [authors] approach them as living structures of relation through which contemporary debates on memory, sovereignty, democracy, communication, and identity can be better understood. The Atlantic emerges, accordingly, not simply as a geographical space or a historical route of exchange, but as a dynamic field in which older legacies and contemporary urgencies constantly intersect. Contributors: Carlos De Angelis; Dieudonné Afatsawo; Futuro Moncada Forero; José Antonio Gurpegui; José Manuel Estévez-Saá; Julio Cañero; Lina Vasiliki Velliou; Vilma Lazo-Butera; and Yolanda López López.
