Synopsis

There are over 60 million disabled in our country, including 13 million combat-wounded veterans, 1.3 million amputees, and 1,000 babies born every year with a limb loss, but the game of golf offers an opportunity to them all. Para-Golf is on the rise in our country and provides an inclusive, life-changing experience of camaraderie and competition for people with disabilities of all kinds.

In The Power of Golf, you’ll hear the firsthand accounts and personal stories of adaptive golfers who have lost much but joyfully found a sense of freedom and unexpected therapeutic and rehabilitative benefits from their inclusion in the game. These authors show us all the meaning of perseverance, the unquenchable fire of the competitive spirit, and how their inner strength propelled them from darkness into the light of a new life of hope and purpose, thanks to the power of golf in their lives.Their stories demonstrate that golf is no longer exclusive but inclusive and indiscriminate about ability, gender, race, age, or ethnicity. We are all in this together, and the world of golf is open to all. These stories prove it!
