Tiara Nicole is a Spoken Word Artist, slam competitor, Kansas City native, and proud mother to an eight-year-old boy, Tristian Emile. She also serves as a program director for Poetry for Personal Power. Tiara Nicole has been performing professionally since she was 19. After a 10-year hiatus from performance, Tiara Nicole returned with a vengeance in 2019, slamming and travelling featuring in several places, including Denver, CO, and New York. She is the host for Arsyn Spit Fire online open mic Nights presents, a member of The Regulators slam team, one half of the Poetic Ensemble Twin City. She was also a 2021 Woman of the World Poetry Slam competitor, won the Kansas City's People's Choice Awards Best Spoken Word Artist award, and won Sponsored Artist of the Year from Poetry For Personal Power. Tiara Nicole will be releasing two books in 2022, Tell My Son, Thank You and Was It Something I Said?! What's next for Tiara Nicole? Sheri Purpose Hall, owner/operator of PenFire publishing, is a spoken word artist, author, radio personality, educator, and minister who uses her work to provide perspective and engage conversational empathy. She has Four books: a book of poetry, epistles, and essays titled Black Girl Shattered(2017); two poetry chapbooks Mélange du Femme Noir (2019) and Chosen for Both (2015); and a workbook/workshop Writing Wrongs: Writing to Heal (2016) which won an award from Bike for the Brain, a non-profit organization that works to reduce mental health stigma. She is the founder of Arsyn Spit Fire, East of Red ArtHouse, and PenFire Publishing; Executive Director of Poetry for Personal Power; and provides consulting and assistance for many other non-profit, community-based, and arts organizations.
