Synopsis

This book showcases collaborative works created by students in a Fall, 2024 illustration class at East Stroudsburg University. Each comic was produced by multiple artists, who wrote, penciled, inked and colored the panels. In addition, the stories were improvised in the form of a "narrative corpse"--each artist was given only a brief time to examine the three panels immediately prior to their own, before developing the drawings for the next three panels. The results are quirky non-sequiturs, way-out-imaginative segues and oddball jokes. Tales of the Unknown contains many hidden gems of college age wisdom, along with the wisecracks and hilarious surprise endings.
