Synopsis

When her new puppies cause mischief at every turn, Sass learns valuable lessons about the puppies and herself.

All she wants is a puppy to play with, to love and cuddle, and to be her fluffy best friend. Sass has worked hard to convince her parents that she is ready. However, when Goldie and Hamburger, her golden retriever puppies, come home to stay, it is one catastrophe after another. She starts to wonder if she is cut out to be a dog mom after all. Will she be up to the challenge?

The humorous interior sketches show off the main character’s big personality and the funny situations Sass finds herself in. And who doesn’t love a main character who wears glasses?

Readers’ Favorite rated the book 5 stars: "The lighthearted presentation of this story will have young readers engaged and laughing throughout, but it will also present a valuable lesson: puppies require a lot of work, as well as love and compassion, and patience. Beautifully told."
