À propos de l'auteur

Jesseyetta Staton, LCSW, LCASA, holds a master's degree from the University of New England with a focus in Clinical Social Work. She played both collegiate basketball and served our country as a United States Marine, earning a spot on the All-Marine Corps basketball team.Staton developed an entrepreneurial drive through sports and the Marines, learning to adapt and overcome situations to achieve successful outcomes. She applies that same mindset to her clients, challenging them to reach their goals by conquering their performance anxiety. She became a Clinical Social Worker after seeing her father struggle to obtain medical and financial benefits due to his health challenges. This experience motivated Staton to become an advocate for others, which led to her securing licensure. As she completed her master's program, Staton's passion shifted to a more hands-on approach - meeting people where they are and providing therapeutic services to those in need has allowed her to stretch her wings in the field. She is a proud advocate for athletes throughout her agency, Atteval Mind & Body Performance PLLC, and helps them gain a better understanding of their mental health while challenging stereotypes associated with mental health struggles. Her most significant accomplishment to date is being a devoted wife and mother, and she strives daily to make her husband, Marcus, and son, Tristian, very proud!
