Ms. Pierce began writing books for young people after retiring from teaching elementary school in 2003. To date, fourteen of her books have been published, most of which are fiction. They cover a wide genre of subjects and reading levels. She says writing books for children and the young at heart was a dream of hers during childhood. The author has since appeared in a series of Who's Who in American Education Publications.
