Synopsis

The story of a grassroots campaign against a nuclear weapons contractor, Against All Odds by Scott Schaeffer-Duffy presents accounts of the secular and religious effort that included shareholder activism, protests, nonviolent civil disobedience, and stints in jail. Stories of diverse individuals and groups underscore the ability of ordinary people, acting in concert with others, to overturn lucrative government contracts that support dangerous military initiatives.
