Three friends for the video channel Skeptic Soup to debunk sensational claims, but when a first-hand account involving a missing boy takes them to the wilds of Canada, what they find may-or may not-align with their personal beliefs.

Michael A. Ventrella writes witty adventures like the Teddy Roosevelt steampunk novel Big Stick and the Terin Ostler fantasy series.He's edited over a dozen anthologies, including Release the Virgins, Three Time Travelers Walk Into..., and The Baker Street Irregulars series (with Jonathan Maberry). He has nonfiction books about The Beatles and The Monkees, and with Pulitzer Prize winner Darrin Bell, How to Argue the Constitution with a Conservative. He lives in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania with his artist wife Heidi Hooper and four spoiled cats. In his spare time, he is an attorney. His web page is www.MichaelAVentrella.com.

Until his decades-long disappearance, JW Harp was known for his trippy underground comic strip Captain Thetan, about a seafarer whocontrols reality for himself and others. This otherworldly character appeared in a dozen issues of the classic rare underground zine Sandanista Romp. JW has reemerged thanks largely to eSpec Books' Systema Paradoxa series. In 2023, JW started Skilletfire Studios with comic-book author Scott Eckelaert. Under the Skilletfire Studios mantle, JW has produced the graphic novel Boylon Heights, and the Gimme Five Comics series. Since its launch, Gimme Five Comics has included work by Artyom Topilin, Elena Cerisciola, John L. French, Keith Lansdale, and Joe R. Lansdale with more to come.JW grew up in the seedy parts of South Carolina, which is all of it. He feels part Canadian and part Costa Rican these days. He lives inNorth Carolina.
