Synopsis

During those years, I fished most, if not all of the lakes
in Highlands County, while continuing to fish lakes all over
Florida. In 2004, I was invited to write a weekly fishing
column for the Highlands Today newspaper. One column,
often lead to two columns a week as I attempted to follow
bass clubs as well as bass tournaments, and my own fishing
exploits.
I wrote my column, Fishing Tales, from 2004-2006,
when I gave the column to Dave Douglas, a fellow bass
fishing guide, who continues to write the column today.
In 2012, I returned to Florida and began writing another
column for the NEWS SUN under the name Just Add Water.
I wrote that column until 2017. I guess at some point, you
just run out of things to write about.
But I eventually started writing again, and here it is,
2022 and again, I’m writing two columns a week. The
different newspapers I wrote for in the past were now
combined into one, The Highlands, NEWS SUN.
At this time, in addition to writing two newspaper
columns each week, I am also the publisher of a monthly
fishing magazine appropriately titled, The Angler Magazine
– Lake Istokpoga/Lake Okeechobee Edition.
