TRAUMA IS A HELL OF A THING
It warps us as much as it molds us.
It worms its way into the deepest folds of our grey matter, knotting itself amid the flailing dendrites of neurons and messing with the direction and content of chemical signals. It's blood and black and needle-scratch screeches at 3am when the thumping in our ears wraps us tight and suffocates us.
And it never, ever, goes away.
