For those that don't know him, Sam Buck is a private detective of Native/ American origin based in Atlanta, Georgia Sam and his assistant Rose Scott are at it again, only this time she is not Rose Scott the assistant, but Mrs. Samuel T. Buck. They were on their honeymoon on an island in Georgia when they were interrupted by a telephone call from a prospective client. Sam was not particularly pleased, but he talked to the person anyway. It seems that he own a software business and want Sam to track down a couple of employees who skipped town, illegally with some of the caller's material. He also said that Sam came highly recommended by Sam's arch-enemy Rick Mason. Sam and his bride reluctantly accepted, checked out of the resort, went home and began the chase to find them..

Bill Moore is an African-American man from North Carolina. He grew up in a modest home with three brothers and one sister to loving parents. His oldest brother was killed in the Korean war. His other brothers were drafted and Bill the youngest, enlisted. After being honorably discharged. He went to Brooklyn, N.Y. and began a career in trucking. He drove, owned and trained drivers for forty years, retired and moved to Virginia where he enrolled in college and graduated as a member of the honor society. Then he went on to higher learning where he graduated and became a member of another honor society. Bill became employed as an instructor in the correction system briefly and then retired to writing.
