Everyone needs a people. A president has his cabinet, a CEO has his board, a church has small groups, King Arthur had his Knights of the Round Table, a mom has her besties, and a sports team has its huddle. And Jesus had his twelve. You need people you can count on in a pinch and come to know deeply and depend on intrinsically.
Today more than ever, everyone needs a people. And you have a choice of who these people are. We long for relationship. We were created for a relationship. We try and fail and try again because we are born with the need for fellowship and relationships. And we try and fail and try again because we choose poorly and feel stuck. We try and fail and finally give up because disappointment, discouragement, fear, and hurt lead us to conclude it's hopeless and useless. But everyone needs a people.
Successful groups and relationships are built on meaningful connection, mutual respect, healthy boundaries, and trust. Without that foundation, relationships won't last and can flounder like a fish on dry sand. It's not that your picker is broken. It's a process, and sometimes it's trial and error. But like the great Vince Lombardi says: "It's not whether you got knocked down; it's whether you get back up." Don't give up, get back up because... Everyone needs a people. Who are your people?
Do you have the right people?
Are you thriving with your inner circle? That's why you're here.
Let's find your people - your Fab 5.
