Jonathan and Rosalind Goforth were a Presbyterian missionaries in China from 1888 to 1935. In the early 1900's, Mr. Goforth became a student of revivals, both contemporary and historical, and for the rest of his missionary career he worked as an evangelist and revivalist. Normal Christianity, as planned by our Lord, was not supposed to begin in the Spirit and continue in the flesh. In the building of His temple it never was by might nor by power, but always by His Spirit."
