Synopsis

George MacDonald's imaginative storytelling and deeply Christian themes profoundly influenced the literary world. C. S. Lewis regarded MacDonald as his "master," and J. R. R. Tolkien--who read the Princess stories to his children--found literary inspiration in MacDonald's works.
