Along their journey, the authors of this book-via their extensive experience, research, and analysis thought it best and more meaningful to include those additional populations beyond 'teachers' and 'teachers-¿to-¿be!' The purpose was to develop and provide for the entire educational community a more comprehensive model, analysis, protocol, and understanding for the teachers and teachers-¿to-¿be, but also for the families of students at risk, school principals, legislators, education planners, and policy makers. That said, the following ten questions/statements reflect some educational realities, challenges, and opportunities:Did my college prepare me for this? Who is going to take this job? How do I help all these students? Is this meaningful to my students? I feel like all I'm doing is managing them! I wish I had someone to guide and mentor me!
