Synopsis

The inspiring true story of Lee Simmons, the first African American steward to serve aboard Air Force One.

Lee F. Simmons (1931-2018) broke barriers as the first African American steward on Air Force One, serving with distinction and earning numerous honors, including the Presidential Service Badge, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal.

From a tiny wooden shack in Alabama with no running water or electricity to serving four U.S. Presidents on the most famous airplane in the world, Lee F. Simmons's remarkable journey proves that any dream is possible with hard work, kindness, and determination. His story demonstrates that where you start doesn't determine where you can go, and that one person's courage and character can open doors for generations to come.
