Throughout their 44 year marriage, they learned to lean on each other, as one's weakness was the other's strength, all the while perfecting the arts of compromise and collaboration. Because of her childhood experiences, telling this tale was always Joyce's passion, but when failing health robbed her of the opportunity to complete the journey, Eric stepped up and finished the task.
