What lives in the parts of ourselves we don't examine too closely?
Daimonia collects the darker syllogies of this ongoing poetic cycle — long-form sequences including "Requiem," "Klimax," "Rap," "Faith No More," and "Demons" — alongside a selection of shorter poems written between 1997 and 2011. Where other volumes in the cycle move toward reconciliation, Daimonia stays longer in the dark: confronting obsession, despair, rage, and the demons, psychological and otherwise, that shadow any honest account of a life.
Blending confessional intensity with formal ambition, these poems draw on religious and mythological imagery to give shape to experiences that resist easy naming. This second edition adds a full appendix and necessary revisions.
For readers of confessional poetry, dark lyricism, and long-form verse unafraid of difficult emotional territory.

Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. Neuware - A journey through faith, doubt, loss, and renewal. In Demons, poet and scholar Phil John Kneis explores what happens when deeply held beliefs begin to fracture. Written between 1997 and 2011, these poems trace a path from certainty through introspection, trauma, and questioning toward a renewed understanding of self and world. Blending philosophy, spirituality, mythology, psychology, and personal reflection, the collection ranges from lyrical meditations and experimental forms to ambitious long-form poetic sequences. The result is a thoughtful exploration of meaning, identity, hope, and the forces - both destructive and creative - that shape our lives. For readers who enjoy poetry that is intellectually curious, emotionally resonant, and willing to wrestle with life's biggest questions. 2nd, slightly expanded and corrected edition.
