Synopsis

Ben Knight is a paid government assassin who has always excelled at his job. During an assignment gone wrong, he narrowly escapes death-an experience that forces him to reassess his career choice. Determined to start over, Ben quits his job and decides to live a "normal" life-if only he can figure out what that means. With no skills or interests beyond his extensive government training, Ben leads a bored and listless existence until he meets Ellen, a woman on the run from her abusive husband, accompanied by her young daughter, Marianne. Ben feels an immediate connection to Ellen, and when she dies under unforeseen circumstances, he becomes Marianne's legal guardian. Before long, Ben becomes engaged to the woman he loves. He's a devoted father to Marianne, and life finally feels perfect-until a ghost from his past returns and threatens the normalcy he has worked so hard to build. To protect himself and his family, Ben must once again become the killer he once was and rely on the deadly skills of his former life.
