Emily Peters was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in Swansboro, North Carolina. She earned a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from the University of Mount Olive, and she has worked in early childhood education since 2008. Emily loves running, live music, and writing stories and poems. This book is inspired by the sudden and tragic passing of Emily's husband, Paul, the love of her life and father of their two wonderful boys, Ezra and Asher. Support is needed for young grievers, and it is her hope that this book will spark conversations that make them feel seen and heard.
