Karen Leis Welsh spent 23 years educating children at the elementary level before entering the world of children's book author. She is the author of Frolicking Friends, a rhyming book for children, and "Eh, Spaghetti You Say?" A humorous book about staying connected with family.Her years as an elementary reading and writing teacher exposed her to the world of children's literature and perked her interest in publishing her own works. She loves to read and wants children to love reading too. She hopes to instill a lifelong desire to read in children by writing books that teach about life in an entertaining way. She has 2 children and 8 grandchildren... She grew up in Gering, Nebraska, but makes her home in Houston.
