Ryan Patterson is an entrepreneur, writer, and Long COVID recovery advocate based in Austin, Texas, where he lives with his wife, Lori, and their son, Sebastian. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in business administration, Ryan has spent more than twenty-five years in the technology industry and has founded and sold several companies. Ryan is an avid traveler who has visited more than one hundred countries. When he's not writing or working, he enjoys coaching youth sports, meditating, and spending time in nature. He wrote this book to help others suffering from Long COVID recover more quickly and to share strategies that may help people reduce their risk of developing Long COVID after future exposures.

Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. "Long COVID does not have to be a life sentence. Recovery is possible."When Ryan Patterson first heard about COVID-19, he never imagined it would become one of the defining challenges of his life. Healthy, active, and without any obvious risk factors, he assumed that if he caught the virus, he would recover and move on. Instead, his infection became the starting point of a journey that would force him to question conventional medical wisdom, relentlessly search for answers, and fight his way back from an illness few people understood. While many people recovered quickly from COVID-19, an estimated 400 million people worldwide have experienced Long COVID. Ryan became one of them. Virtually overnight, his health unraveled. Symptoms appeared that defied easy explanation, and the answers he sought from doctor after doctor remained frustratingly out of reach. As months stretched into years, he found himself navigating a medical landscape filled with uncertainty, conflicting opinions, and few clear solutions. Yet with a wife and young son depending on him, quitting was never an option. Determined to reclaim his life, Ryan immersed himself in the emerging science of Long COVID, investigating potential causes and seeking every promising treatment he could find. By taking ownership of his recovery, he eventually found a path toward healing. The Long Road is more than one man's account of living with Long COVID. It is a practical guide for those still searching for answers. Through his personal story and detailed evaluations of the treatments, therapies, and strategies he pursued, Ryan offers fellow Long COVID sufferers something often missing from the conversation: a roadmap, a source of hope, and the conviction that recovery is possible.
