Synopsis

This book establishes a new paradigm for the universe. In this paradigm the universe is long-lived (several orders of magnitude greater than the current estimate for its age) and homogeneous in the large (in both space and time). There is no big bang. The main idea is that quasars and galaxies form a spectrum based on central black holes and the key technique is to augment Einstein's general relativity by incorporating a special case of Mach's principle.
