Synopsis

Fjord Bjornson is the poetic vehicle of S. L. | V. S., otherwise a writer of prose, particularly in the spaces of speculative fiction, fantasy, review and critique, and nonfiction (public interest and science journalism, independently as well as for the National Park Service). The work herein is largely owing to the abstract and to the strange, to memory, and to the inscrutability of Nature – not to any great practice, nor to some lofty apprenticeship, save for that of the inspiration of friends. Meter and cadence are not always adhered to, perhaps due more to inexperience than to choice. But maybe that’s all right. Maybe we’ll get through this. For fans of Margaret Atwood’s poetry collections (Morning in the Burned House; The Animals in That Country), the lyrics and writings of Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Language poetry, and other abstract movements.
