Synopsis

Ranji is a young spin bowler from New Delhi. He comes to London to help run his uncle's restaurants, but cricket is his real passion. This novella explores Ranji's difficulties and frustrations in England, trying to play his beloved cricket. His uncle Ramesh is always breathing down his neck about his work in the restaurants. So Ranji moves to provincial East Anglia to run another one of Ramesh's restaurants, The Taste of Raj. Ranji finds it difficult to get a game of cricket, until he is selected for a local 'knock-out' competition. His spin bowling is put to the test. Will Ranji win out?
