Synopsis

It is coming up to Christmas and Watson fears that Holmes may face the festive season without a case to occupy him. The man who then calls tells of a haunted property. This is not the case that Watson hoped would arise, yet Holmes accepts the commission. Watson is sceptical and then another matter is brought to Baker Street by Inspector Lestrade which is more promising. Soon, there is an unexpected visit to Reading Gaol. A hunting and a robbery! Can these two cases be linked? Holmes and Watson immerse themselves in the facts which emerge and get to some surprising conclusions. Holmes arranges a Christmas party. Will all be revealed or will there be matters unresolved?
